ROCHESTER, Wash. (AP) — A person who escaped from Cedar Creek Corrections Center close to Rochester over the weekend was arrested Thursday morning within the Bellingham space.
Garrett Stephen Young, 32, was arrested at 10 a.m. by the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force. He was a passenger in a car that was stopped by legislation enforcement, KOMO-TV reported.
Young had a launch date of Feb. 2, 2024 for convictions from Skagit County for theft, possession of a stolen car, housebreaking, and making an attempt to elude.
The Department of Corrections stated Young seems to have escaped by digging underneath a fence at a fitness center the place he was quickly housed as a part of ongoing COVID-19 precautions.
