WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland’s overseas ministry mentioned Wednesday that it summoned a Belarusian diplomat over an “intrusion” into Polish territory of “uniformed people armed with lengthy weapons.”
Polish troopers observed three uniformed individuals with lengthy weapons, mentioned Stanislaw Zaryn, the spokesman for Poland’s safety companies.
“After meeting a Polish patrol, they reloaded their weapons after which departed in the direction of Belarus,” Zaryn mentioned.
Zaryn advised The Associated Press that the incident occurred about 300 meters (300 yards) into Poland from the border with Belarus.

“It was sufficient to assume that it was not a mistake,” he mentioned.
The incident comes as Poland, a member of the European Union, faces important migration strain on its jap border with Belarus. That border varieties a part of the EU’s jap frontier with autocratic Belarus.
The overseas ministry spokesman, Lukasz Jasina, mentioned that the incident happened on the evening between Monday and Tuesday.
He mentioned that the Belarusian cost d’affaires, Alexander Chesnovsky, was summoned to Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
During the meeting, a deputy overseas minister, Piotr Wawrzyk, demanded an evidence and emphasised “that that the actions taken by the Belarusian authorities in latest weeks have the more and more evident hallmarks of a deliberate escalation.”
Wawrzyk “identified that Poland deems such actions unacceptable and will not tolerate them. He highlighted that Poland is set to defend its borders and the exterior borders of the European Union,” Jasina mentioned in his assertion.
There was no fast remark from the Belarusian aspect.
