The United States Army has launched an investigation into experiences that three people have been accidentally given the coronavirus vaccine at a Washington state military base.
“Joint Base Lewis-McChord is conscious three people have been inadvertently administered the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine as a substitute of one other vaccine at the Lewis Main Exchange,” Lt. Col. Joey Sollinger with I Corps Public Affairs informed the Military Times.

Sollinger added that “optimistic corrective motion has been taken at this vaccination website to stop such errors from occurring once more” including that an investigation has been launched.
The unintended vaccinations occurred at Joint Base Lewis-McChord south of Tacoma, Washington. The base is residence to I Corps and 62d Airlift Wing.

The military has not confirmed the identities of the people concerned.
As of Oct. 21, the Defense Department has reported 248,865 instances of COVID-19 throughout the providers, with 1,282 new experiences between Oct. 13 and Oct. 20.
