CORUNNA, Mich. (AP) — A big present to a small church continues to offer advantages to folks in Shiawassee County.
Nearly 10 native organizations not too long ago received grants starting from $5,000 to $50,000 from Juddville United Methodist Church, The Argus-Press reported.
Angel’s Hands Outreach in Owosso, which acquired the largest quantity, supplies clothes, home goods and providers to the homeless and others who need assistance.
“It’s God. I’m attempting to not cry,” founder Christial Sierra mentioned after looking at the examine. “We’re going to broaden. We want a soup kitchen, rehab for veterans, a shelter. I see a necessity. I’m actually excited.”
The cash comes from the property of Jack and Ruth Walworth. He died in 2012; she died two years later.
After Ruth’s loss of life, greater than $2 million went to Juddville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Peter Crawford mentioned the church in flip shares it with the group.
