The Department of Justice introduced Wednesday that it’s going to begin providing help to legislation enforcement leaders whose communities expertise incidents of mass violence.
The help, referred to as the Mass Violence Advisory Initiative, will contain peer-to-peer consultations and be funded by the Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), in accordance to a press launch.
The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) will help handle the initiative, which begins Wednesday. The BJA/IACP Mass Violence Peer-to-Peer Advisory Team consists of legislation enforcement officers who’ve expertise with mass violence. Community and faith-based representatives will even help.
