ELMIRA, N.Y. (AP) — A state trooper was left injured Friday after two capturing incidents involving officers in Elmira. Police mentioned the trooper was not shot, however didn’t present particulars on the harm.
The capturing incidents occurred at a park and a close-by cemetery and concerned the identical suspect, Elmira Police Chief Anthony Alvernaz mentioned on social media.
The suspect was in custody and no different officers have been injured, he mentioned.
Alvernaz instructed the Elmira Star-Gazette the injured trooper was not shot.
The trooper was transported to an area hospital for therapy and their situation was not instantly out there, in response to the newspaper.
