Call of Duty Warzone, Activision’s acclaimed battle royale, could be poised for a major revolution. According to Tom Henderson, the next map of the shooter will completely replace Verdansk and take us to the second World War.
As you can see below, Henderson shares this information via Twitter. Henderson is a well-known COD and Battlefield leaker, as well as a signature of DualShockers. The leaker claims that Call of Duty Warzone will tell farewell to Verdansk: we are not talking about a modified version of the map already known to fans, but about something completely new. Furthermore, it specifies that the launch of this new map will take place at D1 of the next chapter of Call of Duty, which according to rumors is called Vanguard.
Furthermore, Henderson also states that the weapons Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2020 chapter and 2019 chapter respectively) will still be available with the new Call of Duty Warzone map. Furthermore, “it would appear that all cosmetic elements will also be transferred”.
This latest information is credible, also because most of the public would not appreciate the idea of losing access to everything they have obtained during the long months of the game: it would be not very clever on the part of Activision antagonize players in this way, although the development team will probably have to do a lot of balancing work in order to continue including all the weapons.
Call of Duty Warzone is also at the center of attention for recent player bans and the promise of anti-cheat news.
