Through a post on its official blog, Bungie has announced that it will bring buff e nerf to some of the exotic equipment from Destiny 2 ahead of season 15, which kicks off on August 24th.
Specifically, the goal of the developers is to retouch some of the pieces of equipment that have dominated the meta so far, with a particular focus on those that quickly generate energy for the Super. Exotics, such as the Fragments of Galeanor, Protocol of the Phoenix and Ursa Furiosa, will therefore receive a nerf at the maximum amount of super energy obtainable.
Additionally, Bungie will upgrade some of the exotic gear pieces less exploited. An example is the hunter leg armor “The Bombers”, which now in addition to the basic effect of leaving an explosive behind after a dodge will cause an additional effect depending on the equipped subclass. Or the “Precious Scars” Titan helmet that will grant healing and a bonus to health regeneration every time you kill an enemy with a weapon that has the same element as your subclass.
These changes should also give a big shake up to the PvP meta, a component that will receive many new features in the coming months, such as new maps.
