The final mission of the Season of the Technosymbiont of Destiny 2 hides a surprise that could suggest the return of a historical figure currently reported missing.
During the mission in question, the Guardians will be asked to close a Vex portal opened in the Last City by the leader of the Future War cult, Lakshmi-2. During the quest some players who took the trouble to explore the map encountered a rather bizarre specimen of Vex harpy. The enemy in question apparently cannot be brought down in any way, but that is not the only mysterious aspect. The Vex in fact emits sounds at regular intervals, which some particularly attentive players have discovered to be a message in Morse code. From here on come the Spoiler, we have warned you.
By decoding the message, the word “Assistant” is created, the nickname given to us by the surly Asher Mir, reported missing in the past events of Destiny 2 and therefore may actually still be alive, with his consciousness transferred to the alien robot.
For those with a short memory, Asher Mir was the salesman you could meet on planet Io. A researcher obsessed with Vex after being infected with one of them during a mission. When the mysterious giant pyramids arrived last year, rather than escape Asher Mir decided to descend into the Vex Lake present on the planet shortly before its destruction and has since been reported missing. But at this point it is quite likely that we will review it in The Queen of Whisperers, the new Destiny 2 expansion coming next year. Tell the truth, are you also hoping for the return of Cayde-6?
Staying on the subject, the Bungie developers have promised new maps and many news for the PvP sector of Destiny 2.
